Benidorm star Bel Powley transforms her look after swapping the ITV series for huge Hollywood career and undergoing …

FANS of Benidorm will be amazed at how much former star Bel Powley has changed after being welcomed into Hollywood with open arms.

From small beginnings as Bianca Dyke in the ITV sitcom, the 25-year-old actress has blasted her way to stardom thanks to breakout roles in movies Diary Of A Teenage Girl and A Royal Night Out.

Hollywood starlet Bel Powley looked the picture of class at the polo

When she arrived at Prince Harry’s polo match last week wearing a dusky pink coat and black boots, she was barely recognisable as the girl who marched about in a bikini, slathered in fake tan, in the telly comedy.

The Dyke family enjoying their package holiday on Benidorm were from Watford, spoke in Cockney accents and didn’t take any stick from anyone.

Fans will recall that daughter Bianca was the loudest of the lot, being a party girl who flirted with everyone in sight after being dumped by her boyfriend.

Loudmouth Bianca was nothing like Bel’s future roles

But now Bel has made her name in the film industry playing none other than Princess Margaret in A Royal Night Out, and the younger version of a famous American artist in Diary Of A Teenage Girl.

Bel is now a regular at red carpet events

She’s even won several awards for the latter movie, in which she shared the screen with Kristin Wiig, star of SNL and Ghostbusters, and  True Blood hunk Alexander Skarsgaard.

It’s hard to believe Bel was in Benidorm just three years ago, and amazingly it was her last job before she bagged the lead role of Minnie in Diary Of A Teenage Girl.

And the first two weeks on set of that movie saw Bel perform all her sex scenes with Alexander Skarsgaard, which must have been a baptism of fire.

Now she’s going on to even bigger things after being cast in Kirsten Dunst’s 2018 directorial debut, The Bell Jar, also starring Dakota Fanning and Patricia Arquette.

In terms of her love life, she was linked to fellow actor and Riot Club star Douglas Booth last year, though she posed at the polo with artist Hayden Kays.

While her career is going from strength to strength, that doesn’t mean she won’t come back to Beni, as Dame Joan Collins decided to join the sitcom after a glittering film and TV career.
