A BENIDORM-BOUND Ryanair passenger has been banned from flying with the airline for life after causing a drunken brawl onboard.

The flight from Newcastle airport resulted in flight attendants calling the local police as the plane landed into Alicante-Elche airport.

The woman was caught on video fighting with others on the plane.

The video shows the woman hitting other passengers over the top of the seats.

Arguing with another man, he appears to attempt to punch her.

As she slaps other passengers, they retaliate in attempting to subdue her whilst other people on the plane can be heard trying to calm her down.

The flight attendant is then forced to step in, managing to restrain her.

Lucy Norris, who filmed the altercation, told the English press: “It was just as we were about to land when the woman started kicking off.

“She was shouting, screaming and making a show of herself.

“She had been rude to a few people on the flight and I think she was mortal drunk.

“The police were waiting there as we got off.”

The woman in question broke her silence this week, telling the English press:

“I’m on a lot of medication. I’m on antidepressants, diazepam for my back and sleeping tablets which I’m prescribed.

“I had been awake since 5am. I had had a drink, but all I’d had was two pints and two shots of vodka.”

She claims to have been acting in self-defense, which has been widely refuted by many other passengers across social media.

A Ryanair spokesperson told the English press: “The crew of this flight from Newcastle to Alicante requested police assistance upon arrival after a passenger became disruptive inflight.

“The aircraft landed normally and the passenger was met by police.

“We will not tolerate unruly or disruptive behaviour at any time and the safety and comfort of our customers, crew and aircraft is our number one priority.

“This passenger has been banned from flying with Ryanair and this is now a matter for local police.”
