Theme parks in Benidorm
Aqualandia – This water park is the ‘oldest’ theme park in Benidorm and is also the most popular. It’s a perfect venue for the whole family. The rides cater to every age form toddlers to adults. The toddler’s area has tiny slides while adventurous teens and adults can take on the seriously frightening vertical water chutes, and there’s a river that runs around the park for those who want to spend a quieter day. There are also shady picnic areas.
Mundomar – This is a marine life park and is especially popular with youngsters. Here you can see a whole range of marine and other animals, such as seals, penguins, flamingos and parrots. However, the real stars of the park are the dolphins that put on a daily show, much to the delight of visitors. You can also have your photo taken with the dolphins, which makes a great holiday souvenir.
Terra Mitica – Terra Mitica is a sprawling theme park over the mountain behind Benidorm. It’s an American styled theme park with lots of exciting rides to keep the whole family entertained. It also includes a boat ride round the park when you get tired of walking. The park puts on a variety of spectacular shows during the day and you can watch fabulous firework displays at midnight during the summer months.
Terra Natura – Terra Natura is an animal park and houses exotic animals from many parts of the world. There is also a petting zoo for children where they can get really close to some of the animals. If you’re into birdlife, there’s a huge bird aviary filled with exotic birds. And don’t forget to visit the elephant enclosure; you may just think you are on safari!
Aqua Natura – This is the newest member of Benidorm’s theme parks. As the name might suggest, it’s a fun water park. The park boasts a huge natural looking pool in the center with slides, chutes and exciting whirl-pools positioned around it. This makes it a great place for kids and parents to enjoy a day frolicking in the sun. For those who feel a little more adventurous, you can swim with the seals. You can even swim with the sharks if you dare!
